Our brother, Bruce Bernard, died unexpectedly a few months ago. Bruce was a long-time active participant in Still Here Basketball events. To honor his memory our non-profit, charitable organization has matched funds with donations from many of Bruce's friends. We have decided to donate all of what we raise to the Medina County Police Activities League (MCPAL) at their October 6 Fall Mixer at Blue Heron in Medina. MCPAL is a non-profit organization that strives to give young people positive lifestyle alternatives. Still Here has, for years, supported basketball-related activities sponsored by the Medina County Police Activities League. Because Bruce was very involved in Medina-area civic, charitable, and sports causes --- and was a positive influence as both a basketball and softball coach --- we feel that this is an appropriate way to remember him.
