STILL HERE 3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT SETS RECORDS FOR PARTICIPATION AND CHARITABLE FUND RAISING

Updated: Sep 16, 2020

Still Here Basketball, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization, recently held its 9th Annual 3-on-3 Charity Basketball Tournament --- this year named: “The Joe Rog Tribute” tournament in memory and honor of Joe Rog, a long-time Still Here basketball player and highly successful Medina businessman.

This year's tournament set a record for number of teams participating as well as funds raised for charitable causes. Still Here has been able to help numerous young ball players with financial constraints meet pay-for-play requirements. The organization has also contributed, on an ongoing basis, to support wheelchair basketball leagues, basketball leagues dedicated to helping individuals with cognitive challenges; and has conducted BASKETBALL & LIFE SKILLS workshops focused on helping young athletes learn that the personal skills that cause a person to be a good basketball player, are the same skills that make a good human being.
